Description of works

Priestley Construction has been awarded the contract to transform this stunning former mill, into 11no. luxury 2-bed apartments. Apartments will benefit from an amazing setting in a rural location, surrounded by rolling hills and miles of green belt. Internally, the apartments will be built to exacting standards with exposed stone, fitted appliances and on-site parking. The works are due to take 26 weeks. With the building shell staying as it is, our work will mainly consist of internal rip out and construction of the apartments with the external benefiting from some TLC and some full height windows where the mills original loading doors were.

    Site progress update, Feb 2020 – Green Lane Mill

    The steel installation for this development has now been completed on all levels and the acoustic floors are down, enabling work to start on the apartment’s walls. The footprints of the apartments have now been established on the lower ground floor and first floor.

    Preparation for the replacement windows is well underway and will be completed over the coming few weeks.

    Internal M&E works have commenced on the lower ground floor and first floor, and the ground floor under-drawing is due to start next week which will release the area for partitions and services.

    Site progress update, Dec 2019 – Green Lane Mill

    Full strip out works have been completed, which are been followed by steel installations to beams to all floors. External gutter clean has been completed with internal drainage and 1st fix joinery work on levelling floors and closing up openings due to be completed by the Christmas break.
