A former mill in Bradford city centre, Priestley Construction designed and built 39no. residential apartments within the current building. With a previous use of offices, the interior was completely stripped and remodelled to create the apartments within a very difficult floor plate. To add to this challenge, we had to complete this large and difficult project in record breaking time. The client required a finish before the end of the tax year, due to impending tax changes that they were not aware of before construction commenced. We had to bring a 50 week programme down to 20 weeks! More than halving our original estimate. We did this with 24hr working shifts and intense project management expertise. We hit our target. We demolished the internals of a building and built 39 apartments from scratch in just 20 weeks!!!!
