Description of works

Located in the heart of Lancaster on Cable Street, the part-complete student development comprises a Grade-II listed, three-storey building, alongside a new-build five-storey accommodation block providing 89 student apartments at the rear. It will link through to the new-build studio accommodation via a glass link, with each studio benefiting from high-end fitted furniture and kitchen, plus en-suite pod bathrooms. The 19,217 sq. ft. new-build element will be ready for the start of 2021/22 academic year in September.

    Site progress update, July 2021 – Cable Street

    We are progressing well at our Cable Street site.

    Rendering to main building are just about nearing completion as well as remedial works to the boundary wall.

    Our team have started with ornate plaster repairs within the grade 2 listed building to restore existing cornices and features.

    In addition, remedial works and stone replacement are also underway on the listed building.
